The Production Process of Crystal Glass Mosaic
March 16,2022
Mosaic is no stranger to everyone, because with the progress of society and the improvement of quality of life, it has gradually entered thousands of households, and more and more consumers have chosen mosaic products, such as purple mosaic tiles crystal glass tile bathroom floor tiles wall or creative surfaces glass mosaic wall tiles. Then, do you know the production process of crystal glass mosaic?
The production process of crystal glass mosaic
Generally speaking, crystal glass mosaic is made by sintering the finished translucent flat glass with chemical glaze, or cutting the finished translucent flat glass into a certain size block, firing the arc edge, and then spraying the pigment under pressure to form translucent stained glass mosaic.
More subdivided, the crystal mosaic production process can be divided into cold spray glass mosaic and hot melt glass mosaic according to its production process and color material.
Cold spray crystal glass mosaic
- The production of cold spray crystal mosaic is to first open and cut the transparent flat glass into mosaic-shaped glass blocks of certain specifications or shapes;
- Through the kiln, the opening and cutting are fired into an arc shape at a relatively low temperature relative to the specific heat and melting temperature;
- The qualified products are selected by manual visual inspection and placed in a specific mold;
- Send the mold to the spray booth and spray paint with various colors on the middle side by mechanical spray printing;
- After the paint is dry, cover it with a relatively rough white paint, and after drying, stick a sticker on the front or a net on the back, and package it into a finished product.
Hot melt glass mosaic
The production process of hot-melt crystal glass mosaic is different from that of cold-sprayed crystal mosaic. The specific construction process is as follows:
- Cut the finished translucent flat glass of a certain thickness (usually 4-8mm) into blocks of a certain area and shape;
- Then print the colored glaze on the middle side or print the pattern with the glaze for many times;
- After drying, print a layer of white glaze (to prevent the glaze from being peeled off by friction and increase the thickness of the glaze particles);
- After drying again, it is cut into mosaic blocks of certain specifications, sizes and shapes by mechanical or manual opening;
- Place it on the high temperature resistant and invariant ceramic backing plate sprinkled with silicic acid pick material (increase the hardness and roughness of the glaze and improve the adhesion) through the assembly line or manually, and sinter, heat and melt in the kiln with balanced mixing. Firing the glass opening edge into an arc shape;
- After leaving the kiln, it is generously cooled by the assembly line or placed on a special shelf for cooling;
- After cooling, the selection and grading are carried out by the method of visual inspection by the workers, and the qualified products are placed in a mold of a certain size with stickers on the front or nets on the back;
- After drying and bonding, it is packaged as a finished product.
