Base treatment

If a white or light mosaic is laid, the bonding layer and joint filling cement slurry shall be prepared with white cement.

When the bonding layer is pressed by hand and only a clear fingerprint is left, the coloured glass mosaic tiles can be pasted. When pasting mosaics, the quasi grid line shall be carried out from top to bottom, and a 2mm seam shall be left between plates.

Clapping and sewing

The cement slurry has fluidity when it is not set, and the mosaic will fall a little under the action of self-weight after it is put on the wall. Due to the operation error, the horizontal or vertical gap between the couplets is also prone to deviation. Therefore, after paving the multi coloured glass mosaic tiles, the wooden clapboard shall be used to catch the joint and adjust it.

Tear paper

Soak the paper pasted with mosaic and tear off the paper after it is soaked and the adhesive dissolves. When tearing paper, the force direction should be kept parallel to the wall, otherwise, it is easy to tear off the mosaic particles.

Twice closing and cleaning

After tearing the paper, the mosaic particles are exposed. At this time, scrape the mortar with a cement slurry to close the joint, to avoid voids due to insufficient individual joints. For the non-straight gap, the joint shall be pulled to make it horizontal and vertical. For the particles that have been stirred, a wooden board shall be padded and tapped gently to make them firmly bonded. After closing the seam for 10-20 minutes, wash the mosaic with a brush dipped in water three times, and finally, rinse it with clean water.
