Mosaic tiles are used by ordinary families to make the floor of the toilet, so how should we carry out the paving construction?

Means of preparation

Neutral adhesive, gear scraper, caulking tool, basin, clean water, and cleaning cloth for mosaic tiles.

Check materials

Pay attention to the product packaging, model, area, color, and other data. First, measure the amount of mosaic, and then cut out the required number of pieces and bars according to the situation.

Mixing ceramic tile adhesive

First calculate the building area, calculate the amount of neutral tile glue you use, and the coverage area varies according to the specific situation of the project. (The flatter the base surface is, the less slurry is used)

Foundation

The foundation of the wall is very important. Use a tooth scraper to pound the wall with neutral paste and white cement until it is flat. The foundation shall be well laid and the temperature shall be between 5 ℃ and 39 ℃. The wall surface after leveling must be smooth and uniform in color.

Paving

If the mosaics are all pasted with nets, they can be directly applied to the walls or floors that have been coated with neutral adhesive, and the mosaics can be paved neatly.

Ensure consistent spacing

The gap between ceramic tiles and ceramic tiles must be consistent. This is a process that requires the most patience in the process of mosaic paving, but it is the most important part of the paving work. Poor paving may affect the overall effect.

Reinforce

After pasting the mosaic, use the caulking tool to knead and press firmly to ensure that each part is evenly compacted and fully bonded with the adhesive. Each mosaic sticker must wait for its surface to dry and firm before proceeding to the next step.

Stir joint sealant

First, calculate the required building area, and then calculate the required amount of sealant. Slowly pour the sealant into the water and carefully stir it until there is no sand.

Caulking

Use the caulking tool to apply the caulking agent to the mosaic and evenly apply it to the surface of the mosaic. The caulking tool shall be moved diagonally from bottom to top and then from top to bottom to ensure that all caulking agents can be filled and there is no surplus residue. Mosaic gaps must be filled, otherwise, it is easy to accumulate dust and difficult to clean in the future.

Clean

The mosaic surface shall be cleaned about 1 hour after the sealant is dry (the time required is for reference only, and the specific time is calculated according to the temperature of the day). Prepare a bucket of clean water, wipe off the excess sealant on the mosaic surface with a towel or soft object, and finally wipe the surface with a towel until it is clean.

Daily cleaning

You can use clean water to wipe the mosaic for daily cleaning. If you encounter stubborn stains under certain circumstances, you can use stone cleaner. But please note that after cleaning, you must use plenty of water to clean.
