About wall cracking

For some walls that are cracked or connected to other materials, such as cement walls and wood panels. Before laying tiles, the cracked parts of the wall should be fixed and connected with barbed wire, then cemented, and finally tiled, so as to avoid cracking of the multi gray polished porcelain penny mosaic in the later stage.

About wall cleaning

Before tiling, be sure to clean the wall, otherwise, it is easy to cause the hollow drum to fall off. If you want to use tile glue for thin sticking, you must level the wall.

About tile soaking

Whether the tiles need to be soaked in water depends on the situation. For example, floor tiles with low water absorption such as polished tiles and marble tiles do not need to be soaked in water, whether they are attached to the floor or the wall. If you use ordinary cement mortar to lay some ceramic bricks with a relatively high water absorption rate, you need to soak in water, and soak enough. If it is paved with tile glue, whether it is a wall tile or a floor tile, it does not need to be soaked in water.

It should be noted that the soaking time of all tiles should be as similar as possible, and water should be used as much as possible to avoid chromatic aberration after paving.

About tile base powder

In order to avoid the stickiness of the brick embryos and sticks in the high temperature kiln, before the brick embryos enter the kiln, a layer of magnesia slurry will be brushed on the bottom of the embryos to isolate them. Therefore, sometimes there will be a lot of powdery things at the bottom of the embryo, and these powders must be removed before they are placed on the wall. Otherwise, the tiles will not be adhered well in the future, causing the tiles to fall off.

About paving materials

If you use ordinary cement mortar for paving, you should pay attention to the mixing ratio of cement and sand. If it is a floor tile on the wall, it is recommended to use tile glue or adhesive to pave it as much as possible to avoid the empty drum falling off later.

About tile glue and cement can not be mixed

Many people think that the composition of tile adhesive and cement is similar, so they add tile adhesive to cement mortar and use it. In fact, this not only does not enhance the effect, but greatly reduces the various properties of the tile adhesive. If the cement mortar has better water retention and is easier to lay, it is recommended to add tile glue to the cement.

About seam size

If there are no gaps in the tiles, it will cause glaze cracks, arching, hollowing, falling off and other problems due to the principle of thermal expansion and contraction, which directly affects the service life of the tiles.

About tile caulk

After the tiles are laid, in order to have a better effect, the tiles will be caulked. After the caulk, the gaps will not be yellowed, moldy, and easier to clean. But the caulk must wait for the tiles to dry and then operate, otherwise it will cause the tiles to loosen and leave the hidden danger of empty drums falling off.

About tile protection

After the tiling a backsplash with glass mosaic tiles are laid, the tiles must be covered and protected, and at least 24 hours later, you are allowed to walk up and down, so as to avoid the overall loosening of the tiles that have been pasted. When carrying out other renovation projects of the house in the follow-up, it is also necessary to avoid problems such as scratches on the surface of the tiles and penetration of stains on the surface.
